I developed a comprehensive solution using Inline HTML fields to create a clean visual summary of project installation quality and an alphanumeric scorecard for post-installation inspections. This system calculated grades based on various data points, displayed a clear score at the top of the record, and provided a polished, print-friendly version for customer delivery.
This was a custom solution in NetSuite to replace a manual, Word-based inspection process for completed projects. The new system streamlined the scoring process by creating a custom record that assigned numeric values to alphanumeric selections, which were sourced into the QA record via workflow before submission. By iterating with stakeholders, I addressed the challenge of handling complex score calculations by bypassing NetSuite's character limits, ultimately calculating a total score that determined a visual grade displayed upon record completion.
This custom record not only sourced essential project data but also leveraged an AI-driven script I created to automatically attach itself to the project record post-inspection. As a key requirement for advancing project tasks, the record has become integral to the project lifecycle. Additionally, I ensured the record was print-friendly and visually appealing, allowing it to be used as a tool for showcasing crew success rates to potential customers, reinforcing accountability and providing transparency in the quality of installations.
